At Higher Praise church we get it.
Christianity is full of discovery and life changing revelation. Unfortunately, the statistics reveal that only 1 out of 4 people christians were asked the last time they read the bible and they answered; “more than a year ago” (Christianity today, July 6, 2015). This is concerning on so many levels. We at Higher Praise, take our faith, knowing the bible and leading others seriously. That is why we are spending some time this year following Jesus into a greater understanding in what we say we believe.
We have been on a topic for some time now.
The topic of true Christianity we have titled “Greater”
We are dedicating our Sundays to explore what true belief is, what does it mean to be a Christian, and why is it not, easy.
According to the Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life 2.18 billion people do. Higher Praise Church is part of the 2.18 billion that believe, and every one of them could tell you, it’s not easy, in fact it’s hard.There is a reason why the Apostle Paul told his young disciple, Timothy to” fight the good fight of faith” (1 Timothy 6:12).
In the past several weeks we have discussed:
What did Biblical belief look like compared to today?
How does a person become a Christian?
What does being saved mean?
What are we saved from?
What is judgment mean?
What is God Wrath?
Is the Bible true, and how can we prove it?
We at Higher Praise understand the these questions are in need of an answer, so we have focused our Sunday morning service on answering them.
